Hope

 

At the center of the painting lies a boat, like a small island in the midst of the boundless sea. Inside, a young woman surrenders herself to stillness and the current. With arms outstretched, she opens to the presence of water and sky.

 

The boat becomes a metaphor for human life — our journey across the waves. Inside it rest the fish, symbols of labor and its fruits, but also of spiritual nourishment. The oars lie unused at the side: a sign of pause, of a moment when one no longer needs to struggle against the current, but instead chooses rest and trust.

 

This pause turns into meditation: when a person stops resisting and unites with nature, silence is born in the heart. And out of that silence comes hope — bright and pure, able to sustain us through the darkest days and to give us the strength to lift our eyes once more to the sky.
