Visionary

 

This painting is based on a personal revelation of the artist. At the age of nineteen, she received a vision from God: above her head, birds were flying in different directions across the world. Then a voice spoke in her heart:

 

“Just as these birds fly across the world, so you will teach and release people from the nest of the Academy. They will scatter across the nations, and you will help them gain the wings of knowledge for their flight into the world of art.”

 

The image of the birds became a symbol of the students who find strength for their own flight, while the Academy represents the spiritual and creative nest where their wings are formed.

 

Over time, this vision was fulfilled and gave birth to the Florence Classical Arts Academy. Today, graduates from many different countries come here to study, and each year they return home carrying knowledge with them — like birds flying out into the world, continuing their journey in art.
